Ganon Baker grew up in Hampton, Va. He won a State Championship at Hampton High School and was an All-State Selection. He was offered over 25 Division I College Scholarships. During Ganon’s collegiate career he was awarded the CAA Leadership Award, CAA All-Academic, and Atlantic-10 All-Rookie Honors.
After college, Ganon coached Division I basketball for four years as an Assistant. He then went on to play overseas in Iceland and tryout for the Denver Nuggets. He made it to the Summer Roster before being cut due to an injury.
After sustaining an injury playing professionally, he started his own business known today as Ganon Baker Basketball Services. He travels the world reaching kids through teaching basketball. He has held clinics in over 14 countries. He is a Nike Skill Development Trainer and Workout Director. He has worked with Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Amar’e Stoudemire, Chris Paul and Vince Carter. He trains the top 150 Girls in the country for Nike Basketball and Directs Skill Academies all over the world. In 2008 he was hired as Amar’e Stoudemire’s Personal Skill Development Coach and trained players such as Jarryd Bayless, Tyson Chandler and Sean Singletary.
Ganon also has over 53 best selling Instructional DVDs and is owner of GBake Productions. He trains over 3,000 players per year and has worked with the best in business from Tim Grover, Del Harris, Kevin Eastman, Ivory Latta, Tamika Catchings and many more.
Ganon speaks to thousands of players per year; he also does motivational speaking in schools and churches worldwide. He focuses on 5 concepts; Intensity, Consistency, Persistence, Faith and Love.
